Origins

I was born and raised in the quaint community of Katy, Texas. Growing up, I graduated from Katy High School, where I was actively involved in lacrosse and swimming. My upbringing was very family-centered, which instilled in me the values of support and togetherness. 

Education

My academic journey took me to Texas Tech University, where I pursued my passion for history. I earned a degree in European History with a minor in Political Science. During my time at Texas Tech, I was a proud member of the Alpha Xi Delta Kappa Beta chapter and dedicated four years to volunteering at an animal shelter. Being close to my family in West Texas was a significant part of my college experience.

I continued my education at Texas Tech, earning a Master's in History with a focus on American Foreign Policy. During my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses, which sparked my love for teaching and sharing knowledge.

Career

After graduating in 2020, I returned to Katy and began my teaching career. I spent one year teaching elementary students before moving on to teach at a junior high school. For three years, I served as the Team Lead for 6th grade social studies, where I honed my skills in curriculum development and team leadership. 

The birth of my daughter prompted a significant career change. I wanted to better support my family and be more involved in my daughter's life, as well as with my soon-to-be husband. This led me to the field of e-learning, where I could combine my passion for education with the flexibility to be present for my family. 

• 1 year at an elementary school

• 3 years as team lead teaching 6th Grade Social Studies

• Currently employed as the e-Learning and Sales Team Specialist at Legrand

Personal Interests

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and creating a community around my family. My journey has been shaped by a love for history, a commitment to education, and a deep appreciation for family values.
